Today marks a major milestone in the JobTeaser journey. We just finalised an investment round of 50 million euros led by Highland Europe and backed by our existing investors. With their support, we can accelerate the movement we started in 2008 when we founded JobTeaser.
Many of you know how JobTeaser came to be. When I first met my co-founder Nicolas over ten years ago, we’d both just landed our first jobs in a consultancy firm. One day, we came to a life-changing realisation. We’d been making our career choices almost by default, going through the motions without really knowing if we’d be suited.
That’s when JobTeaser was born, out of a genuine need to help young people unlock all their talent and find a way to flourish in their careers.
We created the first careers platform to combine support and advice with internship and job opportunities for today’s students and recent graduates. Thanks to the continued trust of our 600 partner schools and universities across Europe, today we’re able to reach 2.5 million students and recent graduates, offering them opportunities with over 70,000 companies.
But the needs of today’s new generation aren’t standing still. 88% of young people want more support when it comes to careers guidance today.* And hard skills are no longer enough to guarantee success on the job market.
" That’s why we’re using this latest round of fundraising to invest in R&D, helping us respond better to emerging trends in the world of work and to the expectations of today’s generation. "
This transformation involves creating an active community along with free assessment and support tools to help students and recent graduates understand who they are and where they want to go. It will also help companies better identify the talent they need in today’s fast-paced world.
We still have a lot of work to do, but we can be proud of the path we’ve travelled together so far.
Thanks to everyone who has been part of this adventure and stayed tuned for what’s to come!
